Ashraf Abdul Ghafour is an Egyptian actor who got the acting diploma of the High Institute of Dramatic arts in 1963. He is married to his cousin with a son, Taamer, and a daughter, Reeham, who is also an actor. He started his career playing stage roles like; âGulfidaan Haanem i.e. Lady Gulfidaan (1962)â, âSoulymaan al-Halaby (1965)â, âThalaat Layaaly i.e. Three nights (1965)â, âMawta bela kobour i.e. Dead with no graves (1966)â, âMasraâ Guevara i.e. Guevaraâs death (1968)â, âWatany âAkka i.e. My Homeland Acre (1968) and âAl-naar wal-zaytoun i.e. Fire and olives (1969). 1967, Abdul Ghafour debuted in TV playing in the series âAl-Kaahera wal-naas i.e. Cairo and the peopleâ, he also participated in a number of tV series such as; âDoâaa al-maady i.e. The prayer of the pastâ, âHessaaby maâal-ayyaam i.e. My account with the daysâ. âNofous moâath-thaba i.e. Tortured soulsâ, âZahrat al-gabal i.e. The flower of the mountainâ, âMoghaamaraat Meesho i.e. Meeshoâadventuresâ, âMuhammad Rassoul-Allaah i.e. Muhammad, Messenger of Allaahâ and âAl-Imaam Maalekâ. Ashraf Abdul Ghafour was awarded in Saudi Arabia and won the first prize for his role in âAl-mowagaha i.e. The confrontationâ.
